The switcher on the back panel can put the speaker into three different sound modes (dipole, bipole, or a normal loudspeaker). The dipole setting is recommended for small rooms, as the two tweeters work in phase opposition and thus create a diffused sound profile. Both tweeters are controlled in the same phase in bipole mode, and in the normal mode the PHASE 16 works like a direct speaker with only one tweeter.
